Rev. Hedy Hung Ecumenical Pastoral Assistant

Hedy Hung (pictured right) was born and raised in Hong Kong. Hedy has extensive travel and ministry experience. Her higher education includes undergraduate studies at New York University and Central Bible College, and postgraduate studies at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Wheaton College Graduate School and University of Aberdeen.

Hedy has diverse interests. She has great passion in world mission and academic research. Before coming to Aberdeen, she invested much time in producing Christian literature, working with different denominations in special projects, and training pastors and church leaders. She served in various capacities in both Western and Oriental churches, hospital and retirement home in America. She is also an academic; her focus is in the Hebrew Bible. She advocates creative use of quality education, both in the local and macro scale.

She is ordained with the Assemblies of God, USA. Her daughter, Coco Chan, is a graduate of Trinity International University in Illinois and is working in America. Coco is interested in Sports and Wellness Management. She joins her mother in world mission and is responsible for the training of Children’s Ministry workers.

Hedy left us in March 2008 to take up a new position.
